Oestrogen cream is a local treatment for VA and does not act systemically, so endometrial protection is not needed. It cannot cause cancer. If you have symptoms of VA and only use it short term, symptoms will return when you stop. As to vaginal moisturisers, Replens is not ideal and disliked by many, although  the NHS still doles it out. The Yes products (see their website) or even Sylk, would be better.

We have many ladies here using vaginal oestrogen treatments, and you can also find information about treatments on the main menu.
