So I understand.   A photo released by the Rail Company at 8.49 a.m. show the line flooded so why did the train be allowed to proceed?

I think the driver saw a landslide going south then changed tracks and started heading back to Aberdeen, sadly he hit it that way instead

MayB that slide happened when the train went past, causing vibration = slippage.  It may have been clear on the way out.  3 dead, 6 in hospital.
