Hi again...i decided to start a new thread rather than add to my vagifem one in case it got missed.

I'm suffering really badly from a burning and stinging around my vaginal opening and perineum. The bottom of the vaginal opening is quite swollen.

At the end of last year I saw the doctor constantly for thrush symptoms but a swab came back clear. Every now and again it flares up again and it won't go this time. I've tried multi-gyn, thrush tablets, thrush cream and sudocrem but its still here.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience of this? I'm on vagifem nightly or every other night.

As for 'vagifem', use two doses tonight: one early evening and another at bed time.  What R U using as well?  Use every night for as long as necessary, it is a tiny amount of active ingredient so difficult to get a grip of.

I'm using 2 pumps of oestrogel morning and night as well as the vagifem and utro for 10 nights. I guess as I'm still peri I didn't think I'd be too low on oestrogen so thought nightly was maybe overkill   

Does it sound like the VA do you think?

Certainly soreness and slight swelling can be caused by atrophy because the skin becomes dry, thin and sore.  It won't hurt to do the vagifem nightly as well as gently coating the area with a lubricant, I use KY Jelly when necessary.

You can also buy anti chafing cream...cyclists use it...it's fab if you are a bit sore.

For the vaginal area?  I often wonder how ladies cope with VA as well as comfort breaks

Thanks, I got an emollient that my GP gave me before so I'm now using that. I have a lot of discharge so I don't feel dry, if anything its the opposite
