It hit power lines and plummeted from a height onto water, broke it's neck and wing  :-\. Didn't want to waste it.

I can see that the sunflower feeders need topping up  8)

Haha I'm so glad of this thread, I said to my OH last night.........did you know Canada geese are NOT migrating when you see them fly in formation  ::) I felt such a smarty pants  ;D (whispers.......thanks Taz  ;D )
Was confronted by a young stag on my run today, we stood and looked at each other for a while  :)

Was it a stag or a young roe deer ?  I believe that both have horns ;-)

Young roe deer I think, I stood quietly for a couple of minutes before he bounced away into the woods ,now,if that was in Scotland and it was a red deer stag,I would've fled for my life in the opposite direction   ;D They are HUGE

Didn't look where it was going Taz ......... it was the final goose in the formation and didn't see it's leader turn away!  Happens to swans 2/3 times a year in the same place  :-\.  Tasted OK, roasted  :-*

Where you there FrannyB  :-\. Bird 'flu mainly affects the captive population carried by garden birds.  Which is why poultry owners have to be very aware!  Most cases are with in the poultry industry, i.e. cheap chicken products ........ two geese found at Slimbridge which is near to a captive collection. 



What on Earth do you eat jaypo  ;D - oh, sunflower seeds ........... ;-)
