We've had the odd frog pop in but never found spawn sadly, we have an under rd drainage thing at the bottom of the garden. Found my first grass snake last year curled around the water bowl on the ground and yes I screamed, but it startled me honestly 😂 x

They will lay spawn in the smallest of puddles.  Even an up-turned dustbin lid, make sure it doesn't dry out.

SNAKES - don't do them  :-X ........ that lady traveling home from Oz found one in her shoe  :o

I do love watching the wildlife especially the mad red legs as they are so comical to watch ambling down the garden, but if they get startled they suddenly move like roadrunner, I put chicken meal down for them x

Aww we have two partridge that visit our garden regularly, also some beautiful pheasant but living in the country, the estate that we live on do shoots and I actually stood at my bedroom window and watched men shooting them,I couldn't bear it,was crying it upset me so much, why breed a bird just to shoot it?when you see them flying for their lives it's heartbreaking,I HATE hunting,if I'd a gun I would've shot them

Without a history of game shooting there would be NO game birds in the UK: no pheasants [from India and China], partridges [from France] ...... quail don't make good parents so lots of eggs are lost, all game birds are 'flighty' and pheasants don't get up until the very last moment.  Every bird has a chance  ;). I used to feed the poults as a child.

One species of deer is [can't think of the word] - others were brought to the UK for hunting.  The muntjac does a lot of damage to saplings  >:( and these escaped from Woburn Abbey in the 1960s.

Dull now so inside ........

Although it's sad to see pheasants are bred to be shot for the pot and they have a far better life than some other 'food' animals but I can see how upsetting the whole thing is especially if you are vegan or vegetarian.

We have hundreds of muntjac around here. They are very bold little things.

He didn't need to import them  ::)

Hoping that the hedgehogs won't appear for at least another couple of weeks - any in your area Taz?
