He's a plucky little fella and the way he gets to the actual feeders is the same way the tits & wrens do........through the tiny little spaces in the mesh  :o

They can make themselves long and lithe  :o.  There must come a point though, when full of nuts, that squirrels become to wide ?  ;D

Heron seen on night camera sauntering through our garden at 6.30 a.m., fortunately the ponds are covered with wire.

'bleedin dog' indeed: off to the supermarket again for sausages then  ;D

They do squeal when threatened.  MayB because that breed is a ratter, she decided to let the bunny go  ;)

Yes myxomatosis is still very much around plus they are now battling a viral haemorrhagic disease  :'(

There are two types. One kills within a couple of days and the other takes up to two weeks I think. The virus attacks the rabbits organs causing them to haemorrhage. It's very contagious through airborne transmission and insect bites but there are vaccines for domestic pets. Horrible virus.  :'(

Introduced  :'(  >:(. which makes it worse.  Wild rabbits are more likely to recover than during the 1960s/70s.

It's obvious once seen, never 4gotten.

All quiet here.  Birds as usual.  Not seen the heron since  8)

If it hopped away, I wouldn't worry too much.

Fed the blackbirds at dusk hoping that the starlings are in bed  ;D

RAT     >:(    which shinned up a red currant bush in order to lay into the sunflower seed feeder    >:(.  Despite traps and poison [which I hate using], this doe seems to be crafty.  In the wild I admire them but NOT in my garden.  I feel dirty when I've been working out there, always washing my hands and gloves  :(.

Otherwise, all is well with the world.

Living where we do we can't escape rats but they don't come into the house which is just as well for them. Last year I went to get some apples off our tree and DOZENS of them all scarpered down off the tree  >:(
