So you shut the freezer lid then ..............  ;)

Hedgehogs x 2 in the early hours.   8). Not back into the box so we've moved that in order to access the fence panels which need ivy removing from B4 being replaced.  But it's too cold  :o

Watch those goats, foxes aren't fussy .............

On night camera: hog no 3 was collecting leaves and taking back into her nest under the bricks.  2 nights ago a hog was annoying another one ...... those cameras have earned their keep!

A thrush seen in the early hours but rarely in the day.  Daddy blackbird is feeding a young 'un, nagging me for meal worms first  ::)

My so-called wildlife sightings are so boring compared to all of you! lol.   I get excited if I see a possum!  Rabbits and squirrels are very common...as they have munched on my euonymous shrubs all winter! :(

Coyotes are a problem right now in my town. With all the new construction going on, they are being forced out of their natural habitats and are moving into residential neighbourhoods. People are losing their small dogs from backyards, as the coyotes are jumping fences and snapping them up, very sad.  I haven't seen one for a while but in the summer when we have the bedroom window open at night, I can sure hear them.

What kind of size are they, Labrador or Alsation?  A quick snack, cat or small dog  :'(

Off 2 put the hog cam out, top up the water bowls and throw some treats around  8)

For the most part the dogs that have been snatched are the smaller breeds like a Cockapoo. But I have seen reports where a coyote tried to get at a large Lab, but the owner scared it away.  And there was one woman who took her small dog for a walk in the trails where I frequent, and she had her dog off-leash (not allowed) and he ran off and they didn't find him for 5 days, they found his remains. He had been taken by a coyote.

Reminds me of the awful film seen on TV many years ago of a large constrictor squirming through the cat flap and pulling a Chihuahua through it!  Canadian cockerpoos must be smaller than ours  ;)

2 night cameras in position, off to feed the hogs  8)
