What a week for the Girls!   :-*. ..... some dreadful crashes too  :'(

Parity is being gained for the Pro-girls courtesy of OVO Energy who are the main sponsors.  Eisberg alochol free 'wine' is quite sweet but they have been sponsors too.  Dani Webb came 3rd over-all!

le Tour soon  ;)

Sons friend Ed has been in Canada with his team, unfortunately he was involved in a crash, omg his road rash is raw  :-\  he had to abandon the race but luckily nothing broken.

The TDF comes around so quickly, or three weeks sitting on the sofa as it should be renamed  ;D

Great to see that there is a cycling thread on here  :)  I am a big cycling fan.  Can't cycle much myself now (Fibromyalgia and hip pain), but hubby bought me an electric bike a few years ago.  Enables me to go for short rides around the lanes.  We are buying a house in Spain and looking forward to going out for rides in the winter too.  Hubby is a very keen cyclist - road, mountain biking and gravel (which is one reason why we are buying a house in Spain!).  I love to watch the big events on the tellybox - and excited that the Tour of Britain is starting in Carmarthenshire this year, so planning to either watch the start or one of the hills on the first day.  The 'Yatesy-boys' and 'G' are my favourites!!  ;D  Ali x

Tour of Britain starts in 2 September and it close to where I live  ;D

I support all the British cyclists and I like Stybar and Greipel, but Geraint is my favourite. We are not going over to France this year to watch it but I would highly recommend going if you get a chance it's a great atmosphere and I love trying to catch the gifts the caravanne throw out  :) I duck when the Evian cars pass because they spray water, unless it's hot then I hope they stop near us  ;D

Next chapter of Froome saga has started, The TDF organisers have decided not to let him ride. Sky are going to appeal but that's not until just a few days before the race starts, how can the team concentrate on the race when they don't know who will be racing.

If Froome starts what will the reception along the route be, he's had awful things done to him in the past   >:(  but if he starts and he eventually doesn't clear his name then what, it's stopped another team Sky rider having the opportunity of leading the team  :-\

It's a mess if you ask me
