Coronavirus: Wuhan in first virus cluster since end of lockdown

And what's with France not having to undergo quarantine or isolation?  Is that so F1 can cross into England ............

Somebody's brain dead. They can only travel 60 miles within France yet they can come to the UK to spread it here. Prats.  (and that's the polite version)

France is only about 70 miles from my house.  If I lived in Dover it would only be 20 miles.

Distance  doesn't matter.  The point is they will have to isolate on arrival here, which they haven't had to do before.

The French won't have to isolate that's the point.  I think it's to get into Silverstone for the F1 talks. 

Korea have reported spikes too - due to people going into night clubs

The Irish won't have to isolate either, or anyone who doesn't come by plane. By the time they actually implement it CV will be out of control in the UK again anyway so it may not matter.

Keep up the social distancing?

A friend pointed out earlier that we are allowed to converse with strangers at a distance on a park bench but not meet with more than 1 member of our family  .  Thank goodness that DH and I get on really well 

The Telegraph is full of 'how to' - mask making, what may/not be open ........ that Garden Centres are opening tomorrow but not according to the Government, English one weren't mentioned  . I will be keeping away from people, but we do anyway.

The Chinese city of Wuhan is drawing up plans to test its entire population of 11 million people for Covid-19, state media report.

The plan appears to be in its early stages, with all districts in Wuhan told to submit details as to how testing could be done within 10 days.
It comes after Wuhan, where the virus first emerged, recorded six new cases over the weekend.

Prior to this, it had seen no new cases at all since 3 April.

Wuhan, which was in strict lockdown for 11 weeks, began re-opening on 8 April.

For a while it seemed like life was getting back to normal as schools re-opened, businesses slowly emerged and public transport resumed operations. But the emergence of a cluster of cases - all from the same residential compound - has now threatened the move back to normalcy.

So either someone still had it and was asymptomatic or else the virus can live outside the body for longer than they think.

Or they had family members who were infected but thought it was OK to go out and about

UK Hospitals told to clear Wards ready for a spike in 2 week's time.  Proves the point that the Health Service doesn't have enough Staff to divert C-19 cases to Nightingale Hospitals as well as continuing with hospital care.  BARTS states earlier this year that it will accept those affected by C-19 if they have been ventilated - raising the risk to staff and other patients: many will die due to not being able to access treatment for which they have paid!

Care Homes told that they can have free PPE until March ............ I wonder which types of care homes are included.

My son is about to start work in a care home as the only job he could get since leaving uni earlier this year... Let's hope they do protect the staff and patients as promised

That's happened to a lot of youngsters.  Has he been given 3 months initial training, does he know First Aid, Police check done ......... what will he be doing or does he have to wait?

Thanks CLKD. He's going to be a support worker. Had his DBS check done and had covid test yesterday. He has an induction week next week so we'll see...
