Has died after a short illness at 96.

Just a Minute won't be the same without him but he is a shinning example of how to live your life right until the end.

I thought he would be around for ever too ............ 'just a minute' and 'my music', 'animal, vegetable or mineral' .......... all good programmes to keep the brain active.

You know, you can get a long way by just being genial and just keeping on going (without hesitation, repetition or deviation).

I don't think he ever lit up the sky like a firework display, but he was always there, and did it well.
