HRT & IVF
« on: March 27, 2022, 09:41:44 PM »

Hello

I am thinking of going on HRT but then my friend said what about IVF.
I had 2 failed cycles in 2015 I have done a bit of research and found nothing good or bad linking the two things.  Is anyone else on this forum still having periods on HRT and had IVF.
Thanks so much would be good to get their take on things.  Any Doctors on here that could help.

I can't see why it make any difference. Why do you think it would?

Someone was asking a while ago about HRT and IVF. Maybe look for posts about this using the search box?

That wasn't the same. They were hoping to use hrt to restart their periods so they could have ivf. I think the clinic had refused to treat them because the chances of it working were so low.

Hi Claire, I did I was on Femoston sequi, (the best for the lining as per my doctor) then I had to stop to start the preparation of the lining by taking Oestradiol tablet and Progiron progestérone shots.
It's best to talk to you gynecologist. Best of luck in your journey.

Morning.  It will depend on how old you are, how your periods are behaving, whether you see a Specialist on a regular basis .......... mayB get an appt., take a list of queries with you and discuss?

HRT is in general for ladies who need 'replacement' due to symptoms caused by alterations in hormone levels.  It isn't always the 'cure all' and Trial and Error can be tiring.
