My Dad used to say 'There is no pockets in shrouds'.

I like to spend but within our means.  Particularly holidays and experiences.  We don't know what is round the corner so enjoy it while you can :)
All my spending is within my means. About to have a new bathroom but have saved  it all first. My cc is paid in full every month.  I wish I could persuade  myself to spend a bit more on holidays than I do but I get this feeling that I am spoiling myself...

Do it why you still can. There might come a day when you are too frail to go on holiday.

Go for it Girls!  If that bus creeps up behind tomorrow  :o

Go for it Girls!  I can't due to crippling anxiety the moment I think about booking tickets to the Italian Lakes  :'(

AH PF - that's it.  A bargain that ain't in all probability?

Reminds me: when I was about 6 I had crazed my Mum for a pair of sandals.  It was black lace-ups otherwise and a small pair of pink/silver party slippers.  So off we goes to the shop and I picked a pair of white.  With straps. Which broke within hours  :'( so back we went.  I can't remember what happened ........... :-\

;D how will we recognise each other  :P

What other choice will you have?  Unless we live in a very cold environment .......... and as I don't fly, I can't even save for a one-way ticket to an ice-floe  ::)

Have spent a tenner on sweeties for Mum for her C.mas gift from a cousin.  No room for any more pot plants in her room  :o.  I have a nice tin and they all fit in it.  Nice bow and label, job done.

We tend to spend well on day's out or holidays away.  We can save when we take the camper van as pitches are from a tenner to about 25 per night.  DH bought a Lottery ticket today, watch this space  ;D

I think you all missed my meaning.  My 'not hanging around' I meant that unless I'm totally incapacitated, I will choose when I pass.  My sister and I both made this decision after watching our parents struggle.

I didn't miss it.  I will probably spend my money on a care home and be a bit of a bothersome biddy  ;D

Ahh I see.   It will probably be a lot easier further down the line than it is now.

Hello ladies

Shadyglade -  I  understand your meaning and agree with you.  When my SIL was terminally ill she was hoarding drugs but events overtook her and she died in hospital. She was fifty six.

Wishing everyone well.
