It was the fluctuating levels that did it for me. Absence does not seem to be a problem.

I am another who had an eventful peri. I had DUB which led to a hysterectomy with repairs. I will not be taking HRT as I don't seem to need it.

"Addictive" was probably not the best word for the professor to use. You have to be very careful in the language you use in this era.
