A friend of mine, many years ago now, was involved in a car accident. She'd been away for a weekend of frolicking and had all her 'kit' in the boot. She was invited to attend the police station immediately (issue of who was to blame) and her car was searched, the evidence bagged, all items to be logged. She spent about an hour standing at the desk in the waiting room of the cop shop explaining to our boys in blue what everything was and demonstrating how it all worked. Apparently, she started off talking to two police officers, but after about 15 minutes there were 22 officers. She said the general party atmosphere her arrival prompted in the station was actually much more fun than the entire weekend leading up to it.
