I have managed to stand all my cards where I can see them.  Chocolates tucked away in the fridge - that will be 1 for pudding every night for months 

Lots of books to read and a voucher which I will spend on new lights for my tree.  The ones outside the front door failed last week  .  Look out Jan Sales

My Times Newspaper tells me that you share your birthday with Mel Gibson and Victoria Principal. Also with my old Uncle Bob (obviously The Times does not mention him  ).

Day was same as any other, 1 card - my birthday is and always has been such a non-event.  Conolly suggested in another post that my birth on 2nd Jan was such bad timing it screwed up my family's New Year Celebrations and "they have been punishing you ever since"!   Sounds about right...    Its like everyone comes round from their Christmas/New Year Coma on 2nd Jan and go "oh Sh**t forgotten Gill's birthday...again!"
