Little bit of positive news
« on: November 13, 2018, 07:44:39 AM »

Good morning ladies.just wanted to say that my digestive issues are finally lightening up the triple therapy for hpylori although harsh seems to be helping ive lost just under 3 stone this year between my altered eating regime and this rotten bug I've just another stone to lose and I'll be happy.my tongue has now healed that's been bad since around April that's when I first felt really bad with digestive issues.
I think the big change has been the hrt.I stopped it weeks ago, other than vagifem, and I've had no return to symptoms, so far so good.when I tried before I returned straight to flushes and stress within the week so hopefully I've come out the other Side now so it can happen. This is the first morning I've felt half decent for yonks so long may it continue and I'm just hoping now this helps someone else to see the light at the end of that tunnel.😘D.D

That's great Droopydrawers - It is well worth getting on top of with and lifestyle issues - the rewards can be great.
HRT is not a cure all but it can get one through the worst of the peri and early post meno stage.

Once you have finishes the Hpylori  treatment and things are calmer, I would suggest you come off the PPIs as soon as possible but stick with a simple diet that helps maintain everything.  Good luck. DG x

Brilliant news! Well done for not accepting the rubbish from your own gp and going with your instincts. It shouldn't have to be that way but you know your own body and kept going till you Got to the root of the problem.

Im so pleased for you and it gives us all hope that we might come out the other side at some point too.

Long may it last DD xx

Thank you ladies.i have one more week after antibiotics finish to continue with the PPI then it's gone.i fully expect some reaction to stopping but I'm prepared for it.this is my second bout of hpylori so next time I'll be watching for it and not be so dismissive, it was much more serious this time.lol
Yes Robin gut instinct right enough lol.Im feeling good now and I've spent so much to get where I am but it's been worth it especially as it proved GPS wrong and confirmed in my mind we know our body better than anyone.I must look at my tongue in the mirror about a hundred times a day I can't believe the difference no more painful canker sores and furry tongue. That was the hard part to understand because my diet is so good now but obviously the bug was robbing me of any benefits.ty again D.D😘

It's been a long road hasn't it?
Keep up the good work, and hopefully things will get even more better.

I'm just waiting for my time to feel good, as the norm.

Good luck, jd xx.     :foryou:

Morning all.well another 10 days have passed and I'm still feeling a good bit better still got some gut and rib soreness and if I eat one wrong thing I soon know but overall I'm happy with my progress and I have a check up with doc on the 3rd Dec so I can iron out any problems I'm still having then.as far as the hrt I'm still off it and feeling fine I have my off days like every one but I think if you accept that's all it is.an off day.then life can go on with some level of normality.I feel happy enough in myself I keep myself busy I listen to my body and sleep when it tells me to.stuff clock watching if I can't sleep at night I'll sleep during the day night shift workers do it all the time there's no hard fast rules for me im free to do what I choose I've no commitments.it won't work like that for every one but it can for some.I feel now I've come through the worst of the journey and I've learnt so much and can now pass on this knowledge with confidence which I seem to do on a daily basis lol friends family neighbours strangers I'll talk to anyone now and share any knowledge nothing is taboo lol.I get so much pleasure when I speak to someone and I see that glow of hope light up their eyes yes there is help there for you and here's how to find it or ask for it.that makes my horrible journey seem worthwhile for me.none of us know what's round the corner but I firmly believe there's a reason behind everything and these challenges are sent to make us stronger and better equipt to help others who are maybe not so strong.keep up the good work ladies your support is invaluable to others.DD😘

Hi clkd I don't need or have a list now.i trust me to deal with anything more than I trust gps.sad state of affairs when we say that but experience has taught me this.I feel well and I take nothing other than vit d /k2 oral spray to maintain my levels and vagifem to keep the undercarriage healthy and of course my infamous coconut oil lol..my bloods are all good my scans are normal and my hormones seem to be in a better place now as my health anxiety has vastly reduced.im not googling every ache or pain anymore and I'm so chuffed my sore cut tongue and mouth ulcers are gone that was down to the hpylori I just guess it'll take longer for the stomach ulcers to heal but I'm working on that.I just want people to know there is hope and a return to some kind of normality at some stage.im not saying I'll never need to consider hrt again I hope not but never say never eh??DD😘
