Hi everyone, looking for some support please.
Fifteen months ago I had a bleed after being period free for well over a year, dr sent me to gynae, showed my womb lining had thickened, everything else was fine, had biopsies, all clear, had a Mirena coil fitted, to thin the lining, all has been fine then on Friday after 13 months I had a bleed, all period symptoms had been there, sore boobs, cramps, headache, backache etc, just a small bleed, nothing since, got dr tomorrow, just wondered if anyone else had experienced this, I'm 52

Hi and welcome to mm
It sounds as though your ovaries are still having some final gasps. Only 60% of women are bleed free with the Mirena so I suspect you suddenly started pumping out oestrigen and this caused a bleed.
Do check that the strings are there - sometimes the Mirena can drop out or move. Your GP should check it's still in place. I doubt here is anything to worry about but you may be sent for a scan just in case. DG x
