I was toying with the idea of using the testosterone gel prescribed by my gynae as I've been a little afraid of using it (Tostran) I read the instructions and prepared to use it finally. It said depress the pump 8 times to get it working and discard the gel that comes out with this well doesn't the gel squirt right up onto my arm ( ladies beware of this) so I leapt into the bathroom immediately and washed the gel off but Infear I may have absorbed some and I scrubbed my arm as well. OMG! I'm just waiting now for some sort of reaction - any suggestions??

I'm not a doctor but my thoughts are that firstly, you're supposed to rub it in thoroughly and not wash the area for 6 hours so you're not likely to have absorbed much. Secondly even if you did absorb some, a single occasion is unlikely to cause problems. It takes weeks (if not months) of daily dosing to notice any benefits, so I would have thought that you'd have to use large doses over a sustained period of time to get problems.

I started using it about a month ago. I was a bit scared too so I only used half the dose for the first 20 days!

Wilks - can I ask how much Tostran you use per day? I'm just about to start using it after using Testogel sachets previously.

Dotty- I'm using Testim but I think I got the last box in town. When I told the dr she mentioned tostran and said that was twice the strength of testim and if I was to use it in future that I should use it every other day.

I think I've noticed some benefits already but I'm obsessed with whether my voice is getting deeper! I'm sure that wouldn't happen after a month though, I'm just being anxious!

I've only been told to use Tostran once per day Dotty. Wilks what are the benefits you've noticed? I'm really looking forward to those benefits!  Still struggling with that ridiculous pump though  because it watery.

From what I've read, it can take 5 months to notice anything. I've been taking it for 6 weeks and I reckon I have started to notice benefits. Hoping I may feel even better eventually.

Thanks Wilks I was going to give it up today. I've noticed 2 zits appearing on my face and I feel fatigued and am wondering if this is something to do with it. I have had brain fog lately too but after reading your post I'll try and stick with it! I'm only using the pea sized blob every day as instructed by the gynae. Obviously if I don't get any benefit from it after 6 months I will probably throw in the towel. I don't have a partner at the moment so not bothered about the libido side of things.  If it's gone it's gone and that's that!
