Same here
But I suppose we won't be able to get away from it,
every time we turn the tele on it'll be on.
Although I do like William and Harry, I know they're royalty,
but because of Diana, they seem ‘more normal...ish'.
If you know what I mean.
Good luck to them anyway.

Yes I do like ‘the boys'...I worry about Harry...so you g when he lost his mum.
Just a worrying niggle about his intended.
Still...what the hell do I know

Yes I said the same. She's American and they love our royals don't they
and I think after the novelty wears off in a few years or so she'll be off on her heels.
Too much pressure, some of them can't hack it.
Hope not though, hope they prove all the sceptics wrong.
Can't stand his dad and his misses tho,  >:(

Just watched this documentary on heart transplants.
Which I don't normally watch, but OH wanted to watch it.
My god, what they can do now, is just bloody amazing!
Still some sad ones, tragic ones which made me cry,
but the things they CAN do is just unbelievable.

I missed it but love any Medical Documentary programmes - I can't watch any animal programmes though as I find those just too sad.  :)

'bloody' being the reality of much surgery.  A good programme.  I didn't think that Clare would survive, her body had too many other problems caused by the heart condition.  Sad too about the Dad who had waited over 4 years  on the List but then died last week after surgical intervention.

The atmosphere in Theatre seemed calm despite the intricacies of the surgery being attempted, plus any problems that could have gone wrong.  All that tubing everywhere  :o.  That heart beating in the 'incubator' thingy ......... freaky.  One has to be 'healthy' in order to be offered an organ for possible use.  We are both on the NHS donor register and I wear an SOS bracelet or necklace when travelling in case: I want every bit of me used!  I'm heavily into recycling ;-)

dulciana - I barely have time for 'stuff' now  ;D

Hi salad

I'm with you on that, I just want to cry when I see animals
miss treated or ill, and it stays with me for days,
so because I'm so frustrated that I can't do anything about it I don't watch anymore.
My ignorance is best for me I'm afraid.  :-*

Exactly that jillydoll!
News reports of animal cruelty springing up on my media apps literally can not be unseen, even scrolling past as fast as I can  :'(

Anything good on tonight?  :D

Hi salad

I know, it's appalling isn't it, just what makes people do these things is beyond me!
I know, and probably a lot of other people, what I'd like to do with them, and it
wouldn't be pretty either!  >:(
Ok, rant over..... :-\

On tonight, is the 2nd episode of that drama, ‘innocent' on itv.
Although I haven't watched it yet, we've been watching, ‘safe' a Netflix drama, which is
really good. If you like drama. :)

I don't really want to watch it, but then again I might be unable to resist!

Theres no need to watch it unless you really want to, it will be on every news anyway.

I am not a fan of the royals and I think the amount that will be spent on that wedding is obscene when we have people living on the streets and eating from foodbanks.  They could still have a lovely small wedding and give the rest to homeless charities and really “Make Poverty History” which I saw on a bag MM carried recently.

They are giving to Charity PF.  Lots of charity workers have been invited to the Service rather than the Government of the day ;-).

The Royals could alter poverty in what way exactly?  [maybe another thread?]. I try to do my bit by supporting the local food banks and homeless shelter with good clothing we no longer require.  Like the pair of shoes that seemed OK in the shop but were not a Good Buy  ::).  The Royals do a lot more in the country than a) they are given credit for and b) the public are told about, for security reasons.  If one reads the Telegraphy Royal pages? I am amazed at how much they pack into their day!  Me, I'm up - what more does anyone want ;-)

Might resort to day-time TV today, I feel quite poorly.  :-\

Jillydoll - I love stranger things.  Can't wait for the next season.

I'm looking forward to the wedding.  Can't wait to see the dress.   I saw something that said what Diana's outfits cost for travel and public appearances back in the 80s and what they are spending on outfits now is a small fraction of the cost of then.  I'm not sure if there was more money in the world in the 80s.

In the 1980s people had to be seen! and yep, that fluffy creation as Diana sailed down the aisle was huge.  But fluff is out, probably.  I await with interest.  Jeans and a t-shirt would never surprise me  ;D
