Red facial skin
« on: March 14, 2018, 08:31:27 PM »

Hi
Just lost a long post asking for help with my red face problem so keeping it short now!
Changed HRT 2 days ago and all is very well but at 3-4pm my face becomes really flushed. I can cope but does anyone else have this problem and has some cream or makeup? I'm singing in a concert on Sunday evening and don't want to look like an 🍊 orange or beetroot!
Please help! Thanks in advance

Hi Poppi f you go to boots and buy a concealer with a tinge of green in it this tones down any redness in the complexion, enjoy your concert xx

Hi Poppi.  You can buy cover up creams specifically for this.  They come out of the tube green which counters the redness so your skin looks its normal colour and they really do work (and you don't end up looking green once the underlying redness subsides, I promise!).  The sales assistants in any store with a good make up selection will be able to point you in the right direction.  Hope Sunday goes well x

Do you ask them to do that for you? I rarely wear foundation and so far only used Rimmel or Collection 2000 as it always runs out of date before it's finished.
Thanks for advice Daisydot

Where will I get this? I'll need something after the concert too.

I use No 7 Airbrush Away. It's around £16 but works well on my Rosacea.

Hi ladies, not been on for a while but good news is Clarins has sorted my red face! At the other end of the makeup market, MUA 4 colour powder gives enough very light coverage to hide any blotchy bits! I'm so pleased to get rid of the scratchy tight feeling on my facial skin.
Problem now is the very hard skin on my heels- maybe it's because I'm always in flat shoes? A little bit of germoline helps the pain but goodness, talk about one extreme to the other ! :hotflash:
