Votes for women
« on: February 06, 2018, 09:43:31 AM »

It's now 100 years today that women first got the right to vote. I celebrate the brave women who fought to get us that right. That is why I always use my vote when ever possible. Also there are still many women, through out the world, who are still waiting for the this right.

We have much to be grateful for.

My great grandmother was a member of the suffragette movement.  She was very keen to learn things and that girls should get a good education.  She came from a very poor background and two of her sisters died young during a period when her father was out of work.  I think this spurred her on.
