Would you call a sliding hiatus hernia a bowel condition?
« on: January 17, 2018, 02:30:58 PM »

This question is re. declaring conditions for travel insurance. I haven't needed another hospital appointment since the endoscopy in  2016 or any medication and don't have IBS or similar. As usual the insurer refuses to say whether a particular condition is included in a particular essential category.
Thinking of declaring it this time as a precaution as I don't think it will add to the cost.
Sorting travel insurance is one of my pet hates in life.  :-\

Nope.   Different area of the body completely.  Have a look-see at Dr Moseley's book of the gut published late 2017.

That was my thought too but I never know how insurers are thinking.

I have now bought the policy.

Not booked yet. Almost definitely 1 week in Bologna in September. Will do that soon. Haven't decided on the main trip in April/May/June but it will be a new European country. Maybe Romania. still browsing the website and brochures.

Yes I agree but have already been to both of them. There is a Croatia one on my shortlist which combines it with Montenegro.
