Haha it seems a lot of people are Hector-phobic  ;D I was always puzzled by Tales of the Unexpected, how was the lady dancing in the flames but not burning???

The other hide behind the cushion on a Friday night was "Hammer House of Horrors" terrifying as a kid and later the music from Tales of the Unexpected!

I'd forgotten about tales of the unexpected. I can remember lying in bed hearing the music, too frightened to sleep.

The Hardy Boys, Grange Hill and Fame when I was a teenager. Earlier than that I loved the Magic Roundabout, blue peter, Sesame Street. This thread is like a pleasant stroll down memory lane. Apart from tales of the unexpected lol!

The minister who came on at the end of the nights viewing and used to say now lock all your doors etc used to scare the pants off me,I'm sure billy Connolly did a spoof of that.

I remember being spooked by the test card, the clown.

I seem to remember after the minister the national anthem coming on as my dad said we needed to stand for that!!

The Magic Roundabout. One of my earliest memories is being horrified my Grandfather didn't want to watch it.
