That's just brilliant daisydot.
Good on your behalf too, don't think I'd have thought to do that myself.
I would have sorted something out while I was there.....good one.
Can't wait for next year when we get to go away, it seems ages since we went and it was only last September, but mindyou, it was only 5 days In Majorca.(had to get back for OHs mother) and the weather was crap......
Never mind, roll on next year....lol

I am off to Italy (Bologna) for a week in September to join my Swedish friend for an Italian language course combined with holiday. At the end I also have a  half day in Venice because Bologna airport is closed for maintenance for several days. I have to fly back from there. I am tempted to book another mini trip in October but haven't decided where yet. Probably only 3-4 days.

I usually have rich tea biscuits, ginger biscuits, bananas to hand when travelling.  As well as a couple of bottles of Coke and of water.

I'm getting really nervous about my Malta holiday a week on Monday. Don't usually do abroad (scared of flying and don't like the heat, why am I going?!) Haven't sorted anything. Daren't book any trips in case I don't feel up to it so am going to have to be more spontaneous than usual. I am a complete control freak who ultra plans everything.

My handbag is already stuffed full of snacks for just in case

Have a great time Daisydot

Take Rescue Remedy in your bag just in case you panic, glass of wine on the flight and you'll be fine. It's only a shortish flight.

Sounds fab Katejo- Bologna is a place I would like to visit - having seen one of Rick Sten's weekends there! I've promised my daughter we will do a long weekend there sometime! Course sounds great - you could start yourself off with a free online course eg Duolingo or Memrise?

It works for me!  It isn't expensive so worth giving it a go.
