AD’s Generic v Brand
« on: October 07, 2017, 05:39:17 PM »

Hello
Just a quick question? I've been on a brand of AD for 2 years. This week my pharmacist has switched me to Brand as the generic wasn't available.

I've started the new one today, OMG I can tell the difference drastically. I basically feel as though my dose has been increased. Although it hasn't.

I actually feel as the end is exactly the same but much stronger.

Has anyone else had this?

As if the menopause isn't hard enough without having to deal with this increased side effects of the AD!

Nope.  I've never noticed and I've been on various ADs since 1988.  It could be the coating or fillers ..... the amount of active ingredient with be the same as in the Generic.

Thanks for the replies.

I spoke to the pharmacist and he said give it a few days to calm down And then see my GP. I need to file some type of form.

I know my anxiety also plays apart in my worry if this. But it doesn't make my teeth grind, give me the wired ness and washover heavy antidepressant feeling.
