Hi Pinkwindsor, i do have other symptoms thats why i went to the GP in the first place. I do pee all the time which i have done for so long and thought this was a menopause symptom, i did look on the NHS website for symptoms of cancer and they do seem the same, i have put weight on when i thought i shouldn't, and read that weight gain is a symptom for ovarian cyst, (im not sure if these can turn/be cancerous), I just can't understand why my oestrogen would go up....but i cannot understand all the blood results. It's so hard not to try and read things on the internet because you want to know what's going on! My GP did do the CA125 test which was normal, but then i started reading thats not accurate  :'( The bleeding has felt like a period but the anxiety is absolutely terrible!! Ive been trying to ring around and get a transvaginal scan because the wait is torture and im scared the NHS will take longer!

I'm coming onto this thread in the hope I can reach my people i.e. late menopause.  I'm 55 and waiting on the 2 week referral for bleeding.  I was on hrt until November 24.  Had been on it 1.5 years.  Had fairly regular periods before starting HRT.  Got some withdrawal bleeds on hrt but not every month.  I then didn't have a period for about 4 months, had a light bleed for a day or 2.  Then I had breast clinic investigations so came off hrt in November 24.  Feb '25 diagnosed with dcis. Had lumpectomy and 5 sessions of radiotherapy.  I'm currently bleeding and have been for 10 days. Not heavy but more than spotting.  This came 2 weeks after my last period so was very unexpected.  I've had 2 periods since March,  5 weeks apart and then 2 weeks later this bleed.  I'm so worried I have a new cancer.   I've never felt so hopeless and worried.  Has anyone experienced anything similar.  Doctor isn't concerned about late periods but has said another bleed so soon needs investigating.  I agree, I'm just scared out of my mind.

None of it is unusual for late peri, I think she's just being cautious which is a good thing. If you were 50 she'd probably just tell you to go away and stop worrying. I've had periods close together as well as far apart, light, heavy, clotty, short, long, it's all part of the the joy ( :() of meno.
Oh, and the panic when you mention the 2 recent periods you've had in your 60s...
