Oh Annie  :cake: .......... if we were going to celebrate our wedding after 40+ years I would have suggested jumping over the anvil ;-).  Simple.  I enjoyed what we choose in 1975, friends were 'welcome at the Church' as we had been engaged shortly B4 and Mum threw 2 parties for us; close family at the Service and reception, we had to be out of the Hotel by 4.00 -ish so that it could be prepared for the weekly dance.  We whizzed off, I never looked back  ;D

Annie - do try to get a photo of the event ;-).  1 good one to get framed and hung .......

I hope your wedding is everything you want.  Congratulations.

We celebrated our 25th last October. Mum paid for reception etc, I paid for my bridesmaid and my dresses, made just as I wanted. Stephen's parents supplied food for evening do. Had a wonderful day. I was amazed to walk into a packed Church. Half my village and Stephen's were in the Church, the other 2 halves were outside. Only 22 of us but they were those we dearly wanted to share our day with.

25th, dinner on steam train! A friend asked if I could have one wish what would it be. To arrive in a carriage pulled by horses. OH and BIL were in on it and the friend had arranged the evening arranged for us to be conveyed BT car to, yes my dream. A carriage and 2 beautiful shire horses. My dream. Even the rain stopped and the moon appeared. Perfect.
