Vaginal utrogestan- how to take during a bleed
« on: April 19, 2017, 10:15:27 AM »

Ladies- help please? I'm now finishing first month of utrogestan and had to switch from oral to vaginal use after a week.
I'm taking 100mg daily- no break. Consultant told me to expect some bleeding and this has happened today. I know I'm being really stupid but do I continue to take it:
Vaginally ( yuck )
Orally
Stop taking it. I wouldn't have thought it would be the latter...
Not getting on with it particularly well but early days.

Any guidance gratefully appreciated as always x

Hi,
I sometimes get my bleed early but carry on talking the course, I'm on 200 for 12 days. I know it's not nice when your bleeding to have to use it vaginally but you soon get used to it. If you stop taking it it would cause further issues with regard to your cycle settling down and you getting used to it
.hope this helps.
