Thanks Hurdity, I get the gist I think

If it's anything like my lost libido, I'm in for a bit of a wait for my whatever to be switched on and activated

I am going to try to remember to take it teatime (forgot yesterday doh) as I'm really sleepy in the mornings, not good for when I'm back at work

Hello ladies! Day 5 today. Please tell me this isn't an anomaly, because today I've had NO foggy feeling, no depression so far, no jitters and LOTS OF ENERGY!!! I've been feared to post this in case I jinx anything. Who knows - tomorrow could be horrendous, but I'm so very grateful for TODAY.  :)

Much love to you Annie and Warwick for getting me through a really hard day yesterday - I couldn't have done it without you guys! :thankyou:

Wow Tempest !

My energy increased around that day remember ? I thought it was because I'd started to feel better

Any dip in mood I'm getting I'm managing to snap out of it.  No difference noticed on anxiety around people yet (much better with family since T gel started in oct)

Keep going Tempest !!! Xxx

I do remember, Annie! It was tough telling what was what though wasn't it because you have been so very poorly - wee soul! Thank you so very, very much for your wonderful support and encouragement! I hope your ears are improving today? :) xxxxx

Thank you, Warwick!  :) Yes, I'm definitely not counting on this being the 'norm' as it's very early days - and yes, like Annie I'm strapped in too! How has your day been today? xxxxx

Struggling to wake up each morning feeling like I've had a heavy night the evening before

Ok apart from that.  Sinus pressure, ears blocked more than unblocked, fed up keep trying to pop them and not sure if I should keep trying to.  Sinusy headache (I think) or could be Tib but it feels more bridge of nose

Not felt any dizziness since week 1
Still get surges as I'm drifting off to sleep (ongoing meno symptom)

Still ache, still feel uneasy in public
But ok and manageable

I don't get the 'hung over' effect at all Annie and I take mine  in the morning (so kinda makes sense). Achiness has been an ongoing issue for me - hence why I'm very keen to get the DEXA scan as it's been brutal at times! Apparently there is quite tight criteria for getting the scan unless you've actually already had a fracture - which is crazy but then again the NHS is running on fumes nowadays. Because of my previous spinal surgery, I think I'm being treated as an 'exception' (and because of the delay in starting effective HRT)!

I'm so sorry to hear your ears are still blocked - it's going to take more time, isn't it? Frustrating I know! I'm hoping upon hope for some improvement for you soon!

On theTibolone, do you think the switch for you has been positive and worth it so far? xxxx

So far, I'm glad I'm trying it.  I definitely have some get up and go to me.  It's the hairloss that is always at the forefront of my mind.  I'm kinda expecting it getting worse and it probably would've done anyway, but if my well being/social anxiety sorts itself out I may cope with the hair situation

I remember when I had my first night's uninterrupted sleep after over a decade  of sweats and chills,  I was in shock,  it was like an epiphany.

I'm glad we're trying it together, Annie! Also remember - you're going through a LOT right now and have used steroids (and Tibolone is a class of steroid too - with a very different mechanism. Maybe some competing interests going on there. Who knows?) so I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if you've not been able to reap the real benefits just yet. Please try not to worry that your hair loss will get worse - it really very well might not. In fact, in my heart I'm sure it WON'T. I really am wishing  for the very best for you. You deserve it! :)

Blakeygray - what an absolutely WONDERFUL feeling that must have been! It's your journey (as well as the other Tibolone ladies) that has encouraged me to try this treatment. I can't thank you enough for sharing your experiences with us!  :)

Warwick - just a special shout out to you! Hope you're having a good day today. I just checked some research into Tibolone and it seems it can slightly alter T3 and T4 levels (I'll find a link to post if you would like it), so keep an eye on that in case your Thyroxine needs adjusting. This could be contributing to your 'up and down' days too (although we're all bound to get them for sure)! xxxx

Morning ladies. Day 6 - ugh!!! Horrible anxiety all morning, and nasty pain in left leg since last night. No swelling though, but it still worries me! No where near as much energy today either, with just the odd bit of dizziness and no fogginess.

Warwick, you were right about the rollercoaster....  :'( xxxxx Early days, and all that.........

Tempest

To be honest it's no surprise >:(

The first 2 weeks I had all sorts of side effects, including headache, dizziness, severe hip pain that kept me up all night, jelly legs/anxiety.

Day 28 today (end of first packet) in some ways I can see some improvements but mornings are still challenging with the shaky/jelly legs but worse for me is these strange head/adrenalin surges (horrid) In my mind it's the Tibolone fighting the flushes if that makes sense?? I also struggle walking due to jelly legs/dizziness. I do feel better by 3:00pm. From tomorrow will try changing the time I take my tablet to eve.

I hope these symptoms will settle soon. If no improvement by the end of second pack then will make appointment with Gyne as I think 2 months will be long enough to settle.

On a positive: I feel calmer not as wired/neurotic......at times felt really agitated >:(

Hello ladies,

I'm trying to read all posts (been away for a while) but menobrain and HUGE ANXIETY/IMPENDING DOOM FEELINGS mixed with awful family issues are crushing me right now. I was tempted to try Tibolone but I still don't understand why it is not suited for perimenopause, can someone explain that? I also read that it's not suitable for women with vascular issues like me, but isn't oestradiol the same?

Hi Warwick

I'm sure Suzanne turned a positive corner AFTER her 2nd pack whilst on her 3rd, just a thought as you've come this far

Menomale - hello my dear again.  I think Tibolone is used in peri IF you take something to suppress your own cycle. Maybe because of its complicated way of working a peri woman's cycle would interfere too much not giving the benefits wanted

Tempest - you trooper you.  Hope you are feeling better now and tomorrow is much brighter

Me - I can't remember what day but @ 20, started Dec31...... I'm ok, still get those strong adrenaline surges as I'm drifting off.  Didn't feel AS groggy this morning (took yesterday's @6pm) so will keep trying that.  Just ok which I'm not grumbling about at all

Keep chatting ladies xxxx
