Roald Dahl Radio 4

Did anyone else listen to this? I found it really interesting and funny too. It's his life story but put together a bit like one of his books. It's available here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07hwhl9

Yes, I heard this.  It was funny and uplifting at the same time.

What really moved me was, despite family troubles and loss, he 'kept calm and carried on'.

A lesson to us all. :)

Yes that struck me too. I think he said something along the lines of if tragedy strikes then there's no point in falling over - you just have to carry on. What a lot he had to deal with too with the loss of family members.  I loved the part about the chocolate bars and how he knew the dates they were first available and also his desk that hadn't been tidied or dusted for five years or so and the strange treasures it held. Marvellous!
