  hi I'm back here again, lol,
Im 49 and started with the peri-menapause at 40 i have tryed every herbal thing out there but yeh they wrked a bit but i had bad reactions to them where i had really bad swelling n sorness in both my boobs also had to go to hospital for mamogram and scan for a lump due to the herbal stuff causing a eastrogen overload and all the swelling was up under my arm pits, ( all the glands etc were swolen ) that caused theses probs and got told not to take any thing, i am useing the ladycare magnet but still not doin anything  im not sleeping at night as the hot sweats wake me up and i get up at 430 am for wrk lol,
But i have beem told that i can not take hrt as i. High risk , with breast cancer , hypertension.  Strokes ,heart problems  on my mums side of the family also on my dads side too, so ive been told by 4 doctors and at the hospital breast clinic that i cant take anything, but im so fed up and wanna cry when i was just in town and profusely sweating .
So do any of you know what else i can do, im useing the ladycare magnet and that aint helping either , im at my wits end what else can i do ??  Should i go see another doctor see wot they say about hrt im just scared of it causing a seriouse blood preasure or migrain coz it did that to m mum 20 yr ago n she nearly died if doctor hadnt got to her as soon as he did my mum was told she should never have gone on hrt
So im scared of goin on  hrt , as im as fit as a flee, slim n younge n on the go all day lol wrk ,gym, granddaughter, step kids , dogs lol x sorry for rambleing on 😜

Goodness! I can't imagine how you must feel thinking you can't get any relief! Have you looked into any of the antidepressants that are prescribed for hot flash control? I don't know which ones, but I believe there are some prescribed exactly for that purpose, and any mood benefit from it is just a bonus. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of ADs will be along and can point you in the right direction.

im on  amatryptaline at mo for back ache ( siatica) even tho im flexable doc n can touch my toes he dont think its siatica lol , but thats helped me sleep but from 2 am on wards i cant sleep n im up at 5am for wrk, and coz i suffer from migrains the only anti depressant i can take with my sumatriptan is amatryptaline, plus been thru all antidepressants over the 9 yrs n dont do well on them they have never helped with mood swings at all infact felt worse lol, but i just want the sweats to stop n the anciety and sex drive to come back but dont think it will ever happen 😪

How about acupuncture? I was almost to the point of trying it before hrt finally started to help, but I was too antsy to get out the door to get myself to the acupuncture clinic. I know there's been recent studies disproving acupuncture for back pain, but I know how you feel, and when I get that fed up I'd give almost anything a try. Never know, it could help. I still may give it a go soon out of curiosity.

Can you be asked to be referred to a menopause clinic to discuss the HRT.

My meno specialist said that HRT can be used if you have had breast cancer in the past, but not during active disease.
Also if hypertension is controlled by BP medication you can take HRT although transdermal methods are recommended.

Im goin to try starflower capsuels first as read on here that theyve worked for somepeople, i was useing the ladycare magnet but took it off yesterday because fed up, and the hotsweats havent been as bad , so see how i go today so far im ok now hot sweats lol but im up at the docs to see a nurse for a check up so will have a chat to her too x

Well so far ive not had a hot sweat woohoo, i took the lady care magnet off last night with feeling fed up, and ive not had any bad sweats or flushes , sooo could the magnet have worked the oppsit way on me n caused the sweats to be worse ?  Hmmm its weired but could only hapoen to me hahahaha, oh well see how i go n keep a note on them x still going to try starflower oil capsuels x
