Spent afternoon in hospital having another hysteroscopy and polop removal, there were eight of us in the room and all I cam say is it was traumatic, no local anesthetic and the pain was unbelievable. The staff were fantastic constantly apologising . The consultant said afterwards that my case a worry as the continual intermittent bleeding and womb thickness all points to possible cancer developing, I think until that point I wasn't actually aware of the seriousness of It all. I now have to wait for results, I dont think for a minute I have womb cancer but just. Feel shaken up physically and emotionally by the whole afternoon xx

What else did the Consultant say?  Will he be writing to your GP so that you can have an informed discussion. 

How long B4 the results are available?  Do you mean that everyone was under-going the same procedure in the same room

Sorry no eight people in room watching or helping etc even though I agreed it was,quite overwhelming. Three to four weeks for results which shows its not cancer in itself. He said he will write to go today and to the menopause specialist but he said he does not intend getting involved in that as he isn't the expert. He said there were options if the symptoms continue into the future but he would discuss them with me if and when necessary. He was really nice matter of fact explained everything. I know from friends that I have had more women's and menopause problems than them as they are all sailing through it but I also know when i read posts on here that I'm lucky as my symptoms. No where near as bad as others. Think I'm just feeling a bit sorry for myself xx

I'm so sorry to read that you've had a horrible time. Are you on HRT and having other symptoms that can be attributed to the bleeding or does your consultant think the polyps alone are the cause? I  know that if polyps are found in the colon they are removed before they can turn into anything nasty.

I sympathise as I had a hysteroscopy last year to investigate bleeding and it's happening again along with very tender breasts and increased jitters so definitely hormonal but maybe I should see my GP?

If your consultant is concerned would you opt for a hysterectomy?

 Hopefully your results will be fine but it's a worry and you are entitled to feel sorry for yourself in my opinion!

Eight on-lookers is too many 

Is it the polyps that are bleeding?  I had one which bled on contact but at peri shrunk, all on it's own

Yes I'm on estradol 50 mcg patch and utrogestran the consultant thinks its my own cycle causing the bleeding. And I agree with him.it's my third hysteroscopy since 2012  no one has ever mentioned a hysterectomy but id  jump at the opportunity as,suffered period probs since I was 12 years old and had unexplained infertility for 9 years I'm sure there's a link.
It does sound like a visit to your gp would be a good idea it cant do any harm can it. Let us know how you get on xc

The polops dont appear to bleed my womb linings 9mm which isn't massively overgrown and no cancer in family. I do think its the perimenopause my own cycle coming in on the hrt cycle but I'm just guessing xx

Maybe this Consultant has covered all options.  I'm sure that if you discuss the results with a meno specialist you may get a different opinion.  Would your GP be OK with you asking Dr Currie - there is sometimes a facility on here for a personal e-mail for advice, costs £25 I think? 

At least you are being checked on a regular basis but maybe your GP ought to send you to a Consultant au fait with measurements

The consultant has,written to the meno specialist in under and coincidentally I have an appointment with her next Tue so hopefully she will explain things as,well it will be interesting to have a,secon viewpoint on it all. I will no doubt post to let you all know what happens. Xx

Take a list of your concerns with you?  Did she refer you or your GP?

My gp referred me I went in February  for first consultation and she changed my hrt my flushes were cured in 24 hours ,next week is a follow up appointment but the consultant,at hospital today is writing to menopause specialist so that's good xx
