  Morning ladies

Just wondered if anyone else suffered this awful morning sickness every morning ?? :-\ I hate waking up every day feeling sick and generally very low  :'(

As I mentioned with a previous post I'm currently on Premarine for almost 3 months now but have an appointment with doctor this Thursday and may change to the gel oestrogen ( sorry can't remember name ). It's not the Premarine causing this as I had it before . Tried lots of different things to alleviate it but nothing seems to help.

It does ease after I've been up a few hours but it's so horrible feeling like this every morning. Especially if we are away on holiday etc ........ Last thing you need  :-\.

I'm hoping that maybe a change of HRT will cure it ...??

Hello Jennifer123.

Sorry you are suffering. Many of us have experienced morning sickness\ nausea on this journey so you are not alone! As it is caused by changing hormones your HRT should help but when it happened to me I wasn't using anything and it was just a phase that passed.

I'm sure other ladies will be along with advice about how to cope and I hope you feel better soon.

Take care.

Yes I can vouch for this being a peri symptom which I think is from oestrogen surges. Our hormones in peri are similar to those in the first trimester of pregnancy, which also includes insulin being high.

I had to go on the pill as my nausea was too strong but I did find Cyclizine useful when I could lay in (as it makes you drowsy) and Emetrol was good as it slowed the stomach down, but you can't buy it here so have to pay £20 for only a few doses via Amazon from US. I found all the prescribed anti nausea tabs too stimulating (so they increased cortisol spikes which I also had at the time) and Motilium and ginger sped up my stomach so made it worse. However, I suspect we may all experience morning sickness differently as ginger is obviously a well known remedy for it. Mine was severe though where I had to live on liquids and I had it nearly all day around ovulation and for the first week of adding in the pill.

Docs don't recognise it as a hormone symptom (took me months to realise the connection) so it's good you've at least worked that out! Horrible though isn't it.

Morning Kathleen , danger mouse and cassie

Thanks for your replies ladies  ::)

I know it sounds very trivial but it really gets me down at times  :-\. I would love to just wake and feel normal again. Especially when away on holiday and feeling that way every morning.

I really do try to ignore it and carry on and keep myself busy in mornings. I have today already cleaned out the fridge and walked the hounds  ;D.

I've been in menopause prob 2 years ( maybe longer ) due to a hysterectomy. ... So is that still peri ??

I'm thinking it is possible surge or drop in hormones causing this feeling . I take my HRT tablet in the evening before bed.

On a better note I've been taking sea buckthorn oil for dryness and it seems to be starting to work  :)

Me too. Have been feeling very hungry but very nauseous these last few days. My own period started last Thursday which is just when the nausea started. Also felt really cold and shivery, even when wearing 2 sweaters and a thick cardi.

I dry heaved for quite a while Saturday morning. Horrible.

Don't know if Utro is also causing it too? But it didn't make me nauseous when I took it last year.

Jennifer1234, I don't think oral HRT works very well and it beats me why doctors are still prescribing it.  From my experience, it causes digestive problems, gets lost in your digestive system and is completely ineffectual.  I would ditch it and change to the Oestrogel (UK brand name) asap.  I have found Oestrogel to be the best HRT I have used by far and unlike Premarine, it is bio identical and carries fewer risks.

I hope you can persuade your doctor to prescribe it.

Graze! eat little and often to stop that nauseous feeling, I haven't eaten properly for 4 days and suffered this morning  :sigh:.  Himself muttered "I don't want to nag but I will do gently" B4 pointing out that I have been stuffing 'wrong' foods rather than proper meals: but I haven't been hungry  >:( (still haven't recovered from the clock change over!)
