I started hrt last week and I am so angry and irritable it's driving me nuts ( and my hubby and kids). I don't know if it's hrt or menopause causing this. anyone else have this reaction to hrt

Yeah I have felt like this when first starting bit like being in your 20s it did settle

It might be the progesterone in the HRT.
Which HRT are you using?

I had hysterectomy 3 1/2 years ago so on estrogen only patch

So, it's obviously not the progesterone then. 
Hopefully somebody who knows what they are talking about will be along to say something sensible.

There is always a reason!  Probably hormonal  - I would be OK about something 1 day, the next day the same thing could cause me to fly into a rage.  It was always pre-menstrually
