Is it possible?
« on: December 30, 2015, 08:32:05 AM »

Is it possible to have ovulation almost immediately after a period? Started my period Dec 20. On Christmas Eve I had a very hot uncomfortable night. My heart was pounding. I have also had the sensation of sore to the right of my belly button with some pressure. On day 8 I had watery discharge and on day 9 eggwhite mucus. I am still quite wet/moist. 46 years old and most likely in peri - normal stuff? In October I did have an unusually short cycle of only 22 days (ususlly 28-30 days) so maybe this is repeating?

Yes it's perfectly normal. Your hormone switches are being turned on and off at different times as you go further into peri. Annoying but normal.

Sounds normal for peri.
Our cycles can do what they like at this time.

Thank you both :) . It's always reassuring to hear that it's "normal"...

How about cramps during all this eggwhite mucus? Does anyone experience that too? I definitely have more weird cramping, I believe....

Thanks to my millions of symptoms I'm pretty sure I can pinpoint to the hour when I ovulate now. Sometimes several times a month...sometimes not at all. Ovulation = PVC's, jittyer/anxious feelings, weeping and intense uterine cramping that lasts the day. Last month that was twice. This month....it's a mystery. lol.  :)

Good to hear that cramping is something that other people experience too... I was actually SORE this morning in the uterus area... But PVCs - what are those?

Cycles often get shorter before they start to become irregular, so yes, and as the others have said - anything is possible during this time!

Any stomach upset associated with ovulation for you?

If you have eggwhite mucus more than one time in a month, does that mean that you actually ovulate more than one time or is it just some hormone surge?

So do cycles usually get shorter, then irregular then stop? Mine are all over the place so here's hoping😂 I'm on Hrt though so would I know or will they just settle into whatever pattern the Hrt causes? My own hormones definitely overriding Hrt for now😕
