I always 'go on' about checking to see who has funded the various bits of 'research' that is thrust at us via the media! Earlier this year the EDP printed a whole page about the lack of garden knowledge - the worry being that young people are unable to identify UK plants. The paper printed 6 photographs of apparently common garden plants and 1 had to note the name of each one - which I did. However! the photos didn't show representation of the answers and this has been commented upon in the 'letters' pages. I also muttered about the incorrect photographs
and surely, this is what Editors are paid for?
