What's in a name?

How did everyone choose their user name for this site? Mine was a nickname my father had for me as a child  :)

It was the name of a tame(ish) pheasant (which limped  ::)) where we lived before here.

Well I guess pheasants are more common than peasants  ;D

Heck now I'm confusing myself between pheasants and peasants.  ::)

Oh there were loads of peasants.
Certainly more than any pheasants which fronted up.  ;D

katiecurrantbun - I've always wondered about the usernames and I'm sure each has a story! Mine is a pet name (with its own story) that one of my children had for me when he was young, and then taken up by another of the children. I won't go into the whole thing but if any of them (or my husband) came onto this forum they would identify me immediately - but I think I'm safe from that  ;D

Hurdity x :)

Mine describes how I felt when it suddenly hit me that my woes could be related to the menopause and I realised I wasn't 21 anymore  :'(
