On it's own it's vile. However, the yogurts aren't too bad. Flavouring kills the taste. I did have a soya hot chocolate a while back, which was made with actual dark chocolate & have to say it was best ever hot chocolate!

I drink soya milk but haven't found it helps sweats although I have found it helps with vaginal dryness and my skin is softer. Some people eat Burgen bread. If you try soya milk go for alpro soya light as it actually tastes ok. I have heard mixed reports that it's not good for you. Hope this helps.

Some people find that soya upsets the gut
Why not drink 'probiotics'? LIVE yoghurt is good for us!

Hi - I have added soya milk and lindseed to my diet, I think it has helped. I make a smoothie with a banana, organic unsweetened soya and the ground lindseeds in it - doesn't have a bad aftertaste, I have douns some soya milk does.

Soy products contains phyto-oestrogens which have a weak oestrogenic effect and may help with some mild menopausal symptoms although trials haven't been undertaken long term. They don't actually have any effect on your own hormones as such.
There is more info here on this site:

Hello Tina62 and welcome to the forum.
I have been drinking Soya milk for five years now and find it tastes much better when chilled. I also eat Soya yogurts and haven't noticed any problems. I understand that if you persist with a new food you develop a liking for it so maybe a little persistence is required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

It's supposed to help with meno symptoms. I've got a sensitivity to soya but it's really great to know it has now been recognised as an allergen whereas, thirty years ago, nobody believed me!
