logging in question
« on: July 08, 2015, 01:39:11 PM »

whenever I log in my password is rejected the first time even though I enter it correctly.  I always have to re enter it a second time before the forum will accept it.  Not a major problem as only takes a second but just wondering why?

It might be the internet browser that you're using.
I use Chrome and it happens to me if MM if is the first thing I logon to in a session. Also happens quite often with other sites (first logon in session).

I'd be interested to hear more information about this. Sounds like a stale session? Do you actively log out of the forum?

I use Chrome and I log out at the end of each day but not at the end of each session.  I would say it happens perhaps eight or nine times out of 10.  It always takes my password on the second try so not really a problem but I was curious as to whether it is just me as my laptop is quite old  :)

It's not just you BJ.

Don't think the age of the machine matters either. It happens to me on a MacBook Air purchased in January this year. It also happened using a Samsung Notebook (about 4 years old), I was using Chrome on both machines.  It didn't happen on the MacBook when I was using the browser supplied with the Mac (Safari)
