« on: July 06, 2015, 07:00:09 PM »

I have an aptt with my gp tomorrow as I am going to ask for a different HTR as I feel the one I am taking is not affective anymore.I had anxiety a few weeks ago which has since made me feel really under the weather first a water infection, flushes back mood swings, my memory is so bad I cannot remember what I did five minutes ago! I now have got a real bad throat and am so worn out I was feeling so well for a while, so fed up.Has this happened to you and did upping your hrt make you feel better x

I was fine on mine for 4/5years before it stopped being as effective ,it then took about 6/7 months to find a new one to suit ! It's all trial and error unfortunately. Hope you find a new one quicker than I did.

Same here. I was ok for a few years and things changed, I am now 56 started HRT at 51.

I was told that you can become sensitized to Oestrogel and it stops working....... I was using 4 pumps of gel and my estrogen level was 296 which I was told was not high. The problem is I can't seem to settle on any other.

HOWEVER: the water 'infection' may not be infections at all but vaginal atrophy so ask for treatment!!! As the oestrogen levels drop so skin becomes thinner and this can cause itchiness and other nasty symptoms 'down there'  ;)
