There is 1 'fire' dog in the UK and he wears specially adapted shoes to stop his pads burning.  During the hunt following 9/11 shoes were designed and flown out for the Search and Rescue dogs ……..  my dog could have done with some in the snow  ::)

Poor thing looked like he was running on hot coals. I had neighbour, many years ago, who bought doggy wellies for her red setter. Never saw dog out & about with them on though, so don't think they were a great success.
