Ok this might sound daft but how do i know if im in meno ( or peri) I know i should know but im finding it confusing! Im 53 in two weeks, periods really irregular and heavy. I dont have flushes but do have palps,weird tingling in arms and sometimes face,disrupted sleep, sweats etc.
Do i need a hormone level test?

It certainly sounds as though you are in peri menopause.
Read up all the info under the headings to the left of this screen and I suspect you will find out all you need to know.  The 'Decision Tree' section can be very useful.
Your GP can do blood tests but the symptoms you are describing are typical and you are the right age for menopause.  If you want to try HRT to help with meno symptoms we are hear to help and support.
