I am going into my 5th week of non stop bleeding. I saw a consultant on Tuesday who specialises in Menopause and next Tuesday he is going to do a hysteroscopy. If there are any fibroids he will remove them and he is also going to fit a mirena coil. He said I will need to take oestrogen only with this. Really hoping it will work.

How long have you been on the conti HRT for - I had non-stop bleeding for six months when I started it so swapped back to sequi. Good luck with the hysteroscopy.

You will still be using progesterone through the coil but will only need to use an oestrogen patch or take an oestrogen pill. You may find that you have bleeding during the first few months until it settles down - much as with the conti HRT but after this then things should improve.

Thank you Taz, I am so anxious today. Dreading the op on Tuesday. I have convinced myself that the bleeding means I have something serious wrong with me. I have also had to go cold turkey on the hrt before the op and my anxiety is sky high
