Tomorrow I hit the big 50

Tomorrow I will reach the grand age of 50.  Once upon a time I thought that was old!!  Not anymore!!  I don't feel at all old so therefore I can't be  ;D
I actually think the next 50 years will be better than the former 50.  I have life experiences that make me realise I shouldn't take everything so seriously.  I am more interested in enjoying my life rather than just living it.  Friendships are more important than they once were and I am more aware of wanting to stay as healthy & active as possible.
I know that menopause could be quite a challenge and will have some serious thinking to do about using HRT.  Reading so much on here I think it is absolutely right to use whatever will give the better quality of life and if that includes HRT so be it.  I will need lots of support if I do go down that route and know I will get it on here   :)
Anyway, my husband told me to book off work from tomorrow thru to next Tues.  I have no idea what he has planned other than that parents-in-law arrive tonight and my mum at some point. 
I am getting SO EXCITED NOW... :) ;) :D ;D 8) ::) :

We moved house three days after my 50th and both my teenage kids had chicken pox. I was so stressed I don't even remember what I got  ;D

I remember when my Mum said to her friend "I remember that wouldn't have happened 25 years ago" and I thought how old she was  ;D ..... and the 5 year gap between my cousin and I seemed huge until I reached 15 .........

How lovely to have a surprise organised - we discussed what I wanted to do (50 and 60) together but my husband organised it though!

Well,I have to say my husband has exceeded all expectations!!!  Not only did I get a diamond ring but also tickets to see Torvil & Dean in the Dancing on Ice live tour in April.  I had a surprise party with some friends I hadn't see in years.  And now I am being whisked off to a luxury hotel for a couple of nights!  I am not going to want to return to reality that's for sure!!
