Cant sleep so posting now in the hope someone will see it tommorow.

I started utro vaginally 100mg a week ago. And I'm the driest i have ever been. No obvious signs of infection and no itching  just like  sandpaper down there.
I've used  vagifem or ovestin internally every single night  for 9 monti's plus ovestin outside areas and  had reached a point where I was comfortablei.

But since vaginal utro my vVA has suddenly got worse than ever. I cant re load as I'm already using  every night anyway. My bladder  quickly became irritated too and  I've started having accidents and even wet the bed.the other night

Could vaginal utro cause this?xxx

Vaginal utro doesn't cause drying for me but the bladder irritation is definite. I pee more during the day and woken at night after vivid dreams. Usually once but sometimes twice. Not sure if this would settle but it doesn't over 12 days ie still have to get up in night. I also get itchiness between upper labia so tend to use Canesten often while on the vag utro.

I got all that when I started my Utro vaginally Tc but after 3 and a bit months it stopped.  Especially the little bladder accidents, its almost like the muscles inside are going "what the ** is this - huh don't like it!"  Have not had any problems since, no cramping (I got really painful cramps that woke me and I had to take paracetamol for the first 2 cycles all through it), peeing and the slight dryness but sorted that with vag moisturiser as I don't suffer from VA (how I escaped that I don't know but I thank my luck stars I did!!) but it did get dryer down there for a while. Stopped using the moisturiser ages ago (I'm 14 months in remember).

Sorry to hear that the VA has gone into overdrive cos it's nasty at the best of times.  Don't know what to suggest, mine stopped, yours might not I hope it does, but bear in mind your body is pretty confused and you are only on your first cycle if I remember. xx

I'm usually awake at that time of night Tc but this last week I have managed to get to bed at midnight and sleep otherwise we could have had a chinwag!

Hi Ladies,
When do you think I should increase estrogel to 4 pumps? I've been on 2 pumps since 11/10/19 and the gyn said I could increase to 4 but she didn't say when.
Still got joint pain & don't feel any better.
I'm still waiting for the testosterone to arrive.
Thanks x

I would always increase slowly but you could try to up it to 3 now and see how you go for 3 weeks.  If not better up to 4 and then wait patiently for it to settle xx good luck

Thank you ladies. Good to hear you have been sleeping well ladybt.
Kilted cupid I dont know if the estring would be comfortable with a prolapse. The ovestin one night vagifem the next has been working well for me so I think it's down to utro.

I've got a full on cystitis attack today and I think I might have thrush too. No discharge just dry and sore. I've taken an oral thrush pill and cystitis powder. I think I'm going to go back to oral utro. Taking it vaginally hasnt stopped migraine which was the whole point.

I usually put all 3 in one place - 2 on one thigh/1 on another and then swap the 2 pumps to the other thigh the following morning.
Same with arms but somehow I only do my arms about once a week - my thighs offer a bigger space for rubbing in!  ;D

I think this might be a UTI rather than cystitis. I cant stop shivering and the pain is getting worse. I've drunk 4 pints of water since 4.0 clock and I still cant pee except for dribbles which I cant hold in. And I've still got a headache despite taking migraine meds. Might have to go to the out of hours surgery tommorow.  I've never had a UTI before only cystitis which the sachets and drinking plenty usually helps.

Tc - I had exactly the same about 2 months ago. I had just started a course of nitrofurantoin for a uti and by the evening I was shivering so much I had to have a hot bath. I then started wheezing and called 111 for advice. They said the shivering was probably uti but wheezing was probably an allergic reaction and they wanted me to go to a&e because of the wheezing. I got fully checked at a&e and they couldn't specify if the anti-b's were causing the wheezing but the shivering was the infection. In fact the nurse said she couldn't believe I had so many clothes on in a very hot hospital. They gave me co-amoxiclav and I was fine within a day or 2.

Thanks again Ladybt! I just get so anxious about every last detail - I just want to feel better! So depressed, burning mouth is terrible, no energy, painful shoulder & arms, the list goes on - sorry to moan - sure everyone here probably feels rubbish also. I just don't want to feel like this forever xx

Hi

Anyone on here use long cycle regime?

I use utrogestan for 10 days every 2/3 months. I use 2 pumps of Estrogel each day.
I was told this was OK by a menopause specialist I saw down south before I moved up to Scotland.
However, my prescriptions for Utro in Scotland have always said to use every month but I haven't. I'm prog intolerant and although Utro is the best of the bunch it still affects me quite badly.

This has gone on for 5 years without any question of why I am not ordering Utrogestan 'often enough'
My bleeds are OK, not overly long, or painful, and the month following utrogestan I sometimes get the emotional and physical symptoms of a period but no period, (Assumiing not enough lining to come away)

I'm 56 still having my own periods, lighter, pretty regular, but I know they are periods and not breakthrough bleeding as I get very noticeable physical and mental symptoms beforehand.

My GP has now only FIVE years reviewed my HRt and noticed I don't order U enough, and has written to me saying 'Utrogestan is no longer recommended for HRT in Scotland'

I'm beside myself as that reads like she is going to take me off it. I cannot take the synthetic progs as I react very very badly to them, progesterone intolerant, hence me taking Utro.

Great news Tc, sounds like it's not an infection then. Did the shivering stop?
