Glad it's a bit better today HB, but do take it easy at your mum's. You don't want to be in pain over the festive period.
CLKD that doesn't sound good. Is it better now?

The injections will be a steroid? and placed where?
Once I was up and about the 'numbness' - which isn't true numbness as I can feel the leg - went

Worse today and its my own fault. I was down at mother's this morning and did far too much and now I am suffering. I should have stayed at home but the earache I get when I don't turn up and do all the work was not worth it.
Resting up again and hopefully it will improve.

Aw HB
Sometimes it's easier to suffer the pain, than to say it can't be done. Take care of yourself & get rubbing with the gel. Have you tried tiger balm at all? I've used it for muscular pain and it makes a difference.

I've seen it in Boots Honeybun or I think on Amazon if you fancied ordering online.

I've seen it in Tesco & Boots. Health shops often have it too. Two different strengths red or white. It feels very hot immediately afterwards, but it does subside. Its a bit like having a hot water bottle in the area.

Make up your mind NOW that if you are still in pain you will not be going to your Mum's next visit ......... let your sister know in good time

I just feel guilty if I don't go.
This thing called a conscience is a terrible thing.

Consciounce can be a huge input into how we interact with others but take care of YOU
- you won't be any help at all if the pain worsens!

Have you tried a Belladonna plaster?. I have one at the moment my sciatica is very painful at the moment. It is like a big plaster that you put on where ever it hurts the most you need to leave on for at least 3 days it helps to support your back too. It really helps me. You can get them from most chemists. Or they can order them in for you.

Exercise does help if you can. I think the worse thing is to rest it too much as it gets worse.
I am a bit improved but I have to be very careful which way I turn or bend.
