Interesting. Hubby only admitted it yesterday, but says he hasn't actually been sleeping right since he was given amitryptiline for nerve pain in his leg ages ago. He comes in from work and sleeps. I say he should try to wait till bedtime to sleep. He tried & failed miserably yesterday. So don't think that's problem with him as he did that on old sofa too.
However, I'm away to look it up as anything is possible. Thanks ladies!  :)

One should sleep when one's body requires to, if at all possible  ;).  One will still sleep at night ........ but the brain will be able to rest more easily if one gives in.

Perhaps stop the Amitriptalyne (sp) ? does it actually help?  I had it for neuralgia and it did s*d all  >:(

If I sleep in the day I can't sleep at night . Mind you I never sleep in the day unless I am unwell.
Sometimes after a poor night I really wish I could but it just doesn't happen.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today CG.

He stopped the pills as he was having nightmares. Hasn't been able to sleep right since.

Got some new stuff from health shop called Sweet Dreams, so I'm hoping for decent night tonight.  If I sleep during the day, it makes no difference to sleep at night. I've tried keeping going all day and makes me feel like €¥π§

Fat lot of use new stuff was! I've been out for a walk, sat down to come on here & bang off I go again.  Yesterday was truly awful though. Head & body definitely not working as one.

Today was better day thankfully, as had lots to do. Now whether it catches up with me tomorrow remains to be seen. I'm starting to think it's all hormonal rather than anything sinister lurking in my body. GP I'm seeing on Friday is into female health, so will be interested to find out how into it she really is.

As always ladies thanks for your support, don't know where I'd be without you!  :thankyou:

I phoned about blood test results 2 days ago. Receptionist stated that although fine, others may be required depending on how I was feeling. Sounded somewhat inconclusive. Doctor said she was happy enough with them. Upshot is it's probably hormone related. I questioned her about a few things. Surprise, surprise she shrugged her shoulders and said she hasn't a clue. Told me to lose weight. Her scales were way off compared to mine. Told her that I knew I'd put on a few pounds after my holidays. However, her scales had me as heavy as I'd been in January. Eh no, I'd never be able to get into my smaller sized clothes if that was the case. I've put on 2 kgs. Then she started on about my HRT. Grrrrr

I GIVE UP!

Sorry there was no proper answers for you CG. I know you thought this GP would be able to help. Very frustrating for you.
Can you not get a referral back to the meno clinic. They might be able to help much more.

Not due to see them for a few months yet.

Hubby reckons I'd have to collapse in front of them before they'd do anything. Guess I should be relieved it's nothing serious. So much for this GP taking an interest in women's health issues.  Hubby said that they only seem able to cope with simple, run of the mill illnesses.  Oh and she mentioned the D word! Again no! I'm fed up feeling permanently jetlagged , not depressed. I socialise with friends, I go to gym a few times a week when I don't have a sore shoulder that is.
