Vaginal Vault Prolapse repair

Anyone had one?

I've had a hysterectomy (20yrs ago) and an anterior repair in 2008.  However after a bout of UTIs, my GP thought it may be due to the prolapse coming back and referred me to a gynaecologist.  He confirmed I have a vaginal prolapse.  I was booked in to have a op last week, but it was cancelled as I had a dental abscess and the anaesthetist thought it might be risky.

Surgeon wants to rearrange, but I'm now getting cold feet :-\.  I'm probably being silly, but I'm having second thoughts (is it worth it/will it last? kinda thing).  It'll be the same recovery period as a hysterectomy  :(

Any thoughts?

:welcomemm:  get the dental problem sorted first. That lessens the risk of any infection spreading.

You may find that you feel better about the repair once the teeth are better.  I take it that your UTIs were tested for bacteria?  Would HRT help at all if you want to postpone surgery?
