Femoston ultra low dose
« on: July 16, 2013, 01:00:48 PM »

Hi all

Started these nearly 2 weeks ago.  Have had mild side effects, period type pain, bloating and nausea. These have now gone.  Now feeling very weak and listless, could be the weather, but slept ok last night.  Ankles a bit swollen but again could be heat.  Have noticed lots of vaginal discharge which, as I am taking it for dyspareunia, must be a good thing. Consultant gynaecologist feels the pain due to va, although have had pain since my 30's. Not actually had sex for a week or so.

Finding it hard to reconcile actually taking HRT as I feel my symptoms fairly mild. My GP happy to prescribe.  Found vagifem very unpleasant, abdo pain, pain on inserting them, headache and nausea. Headache worried GP.

Most concerned that despite following healthy diet, honest no cheating, have not lost any weight for week or so. Want to lose 10lbs for holiday in September.

Shall I preserve? Any advice ladies?

I would persevere because as somebody else said on another thread it is only 3 months and if you look on it that way you can tell yourself that after 3 months you have given it a chance and then decide if it is beneficial.

If you havent had sex since you've been on it you dont know yet whether it has helped in that dept.  I would be interested to hear if it does as I am considering going onto oral HRT for the same reason

Hi all have completed my first month on femoston conti low dose. Urinary and vaginal symptoms have improved.  Side effects seem to have subsided, but still feel a lack of energy some days. Weight loss very slow.

Still feel I should manage without anything.  Have coped for 4 years more or less without any hrt.
