I'm giving up chocolate, milk shakes and hot chocolate - it makes me feel bloated
then panic sets in
Himself is going to have cold trout, caught at 5.30 on Thursday, cooked for our meal last night; with lots of roast veg., he will have home made bread with his trout and is cooking rice/garlic/ginger and will layer the cold roast veg. on top.

Good Day ladies xxx
So its Sunday morning in my corner of the world... well... almost noon. Being me go good and had a fruit smoothie for brekkie... resisted the pan au chocolate the fella bought me as a treat... bless (he's still not quite getting that my diet must change!)
Last night's menu was baked trout fillets with quinoa and feta cheese salad...
Tonight will be a good old pot roast chicken with spuds and as much green veg as I can get on the plate.... need iron!
Does anyone else here make their own broth? One of the main reasons for getting chicken is to make broth and use to drink or make soups/risotto... Yum!

Beans on toast. Too hot to cook much.
I remember my grannies cooking chicken bones/carcass to make soup - it would simmer for hours and 'bits' would be thrown in: spare veg., peas, grains, salt, pepper ........ and served with thick bread. I'm heavily into roasted veg. ........ lots of. Good cold the next day!

I've got rib eye steak which I salt n pepper coat in olive oil then put in open foil in the oven for around 30-40 mins,we like it well done.the flavours are fab and it's so tender.
Peppercorn sauce with chestnut mushrooms lovely beefy flavour from them
New baby potatoes boiled and peas and carrots. Definately got my appetite back lol.

Hi Hasty 180 sorry should have said that.If I'm honest I do all the steak I cook in the oven these days it's so much nicer and the real flavours come out if you don't faff around with it just good old salt pepper and the steak juices mix beautifully with the oilive oil,if you like it rarer just adjust the times to suit ,not the temperature.its £8 for two good sized bits of either rib eye or sirloin from marks well worth it.Have fun xx
